Mystery Plant

I have no idea what type of plant this is. All I know is that I shot this at the Calgary Zoo.
More San Sebastián

Last summer, I travelled extensively throughout Spain. While I had my Canon Rebel 2000 (and a dozen rolls of film) with me, I rarely used it opting instead for my DSLR. These are from a day trip to San Sebastián and were shot on Fuji Sensia which I then had cross-processed.
Tauranga

I shot these at New Year’s in Tauranga, New Zealand. Sarah and I walked along the beach on a hot summer day while I snapped photos with my broken Lomo LC-A. Then we hiked to the top of Mount Maunganui in the heat. It was exhausting but it was worth it for the view and […]
Angkor Wat

I shot these in Cambodia at Angkor Wat. The size of the temple ruins is staggering! It is simply breathtaking to see it all and I highly recommend visiting some of the lesser known temples as well (fewer tourists). I spent two days visiting six different sites. It was a dream come true.
Calgary Marathon

I shot these at the Calgary Marathon in 2016. I downloaded the marathon course map and looked for a good spot to take my photos. I figured that the starting line and finishing line would be very busy and probably best to be avoided. So I picked a spot approximately half way around the course […]
Downtown Photo Walk

I took a photo walk downtown in Calgary and these are a few of the shots I took using FPP B&W 400 film which is really Orwo N74 Plus!
Show ‘n Shine

After an early morning of photographing hot air balloons in High River, I stumbled upon the Show ‘n Shine as I walked back to my car.
Walk Along the Bow River

Sarah and I took a walk along the Bow River one day and these are a few of the shots I took with my Kodak Ektralite 500.
Shooting Ferrania P30 Alpha

P30 Alpha is a new B&W panchromatic film made by Ferrania, an Italian film manufacturer. It’s actually an old film that has been resurrected by the also resurrected Ferrania. I love the contrast of this film! I think it’s just gorgeous. I plan to shoot more of this film and hope to have similar results. […]
Olympic Plaza

I shot these at Olympic Plaza in downtown Calgary. I spent an afternoon trying my hand at street photography with a manual camera, the Praktica MTL3. I was using a Russian lens, an f/2 85mm Jupiter-9.
Grassi Lakes

I shot this 6×12 panorama with my Belair X 6-12 Jetsetter on a hike at Grassi Lakes in Canmore, Alberta.
Siem Reap

I shot these in and around Pub Street in Siem Reap, Cambodia last year. I used Eastman Double-X 5222 B&W film that I purchased from the FPP. Double-X is actually a 35mm motion picture film made by Kodak and was used to make movies like Schindler’s List and the opening sequence in Casino Royale. I […]
Wellington

I dropped my Lomo LC-A camera one unfortunate day when I was in New Zealand a few months ago. It just slipped out of my hand, sailed through the air 5 feet and landed hard on the sidewalk. The front plate around the lens came off and the back popped open exposing my film to […]
Coyote Flats

These were shot at Coyote Flats with a Kodak Ektralite 500. When I was helping my mom move back in 2016, I came across her old 110 film camera. Curious to see if the camera still worked, I asked my mom if I could have it and she gave it to me along with an […]
Calgary Skyline

These were shot with the Lomography Belair X 6-12 Jetsetter using the 35mm Back so that I could shoot sprockets. I scanned them myself using the Lomography Digitaliza 35mm scanning mask.
