In the summer of 1991, I took a family trip to Italy for a cousin’s wedding. These were all taken from the balcony of the house where I stayed in my father’s hometown of Bagnoli del Trigno. It’s a tiny little town in the Italian region of Molise.
While Sarah and I were in Marlborough, we rented some bicycles and took a tour of the wineries in the region. Our first stop was at Hans Herzog where we sampled a few of their wines. We were lucky enough that they gave us free rein to roam around the beautiful garden and restaurant. These […]
These are from my trip to the Marlborough wine region in New Zealand. Sarah and I wandered around the Picton waterfront before taking a cruise of the Queen Charlotte Sounds. It was a beautiful day. I used Lomography Cine400 Tungsten film with an 85B filter since tungsten film isn’t meant for outdoors and set the […]
These photos of the Peace Bridge here in Calgary were shot on a photo walk one day. I used a Chinese film called Lucky Charm 200 (it actually says Lucky Charm on the edge code).
I shot these at the Lilac Festival a couple years ago using Rollei Redbird 400 film. Even though the box speed is 400, I shot these at 100 ISO. This is the second roll of Redbird I’ve shot and the first one (shot at box speed) came out even darker than these photos. I hate […]
Last summer, I travelled extensively throughout Spain. While I had my Canon Rebel 2000 (and a dozen rolls of film) with me, I rarely used it opting instead for my DSLR. These are from a day trip to San Sebastián and were shot on Fuji Sensia which I then had cross-processed.
I shot these at New Year’s in Tauranga, New Zealand. Sarah and I walked along the beach on a hot summer day while I snapped photos with my broken Lomo LC-A. Then we hiked to the top of Mount Maunganui in the heat. It was exhausting but it was worth it for the view and […]
I shot these in Cambodia at Angkor Wat. The size of the temple ruins is staggering! It is simply breathtaking to see it all and I highly recommend visiting some of the lesser known temples as well (fewer tourists). I spent two days visiting six different sites. It was a dream come true.
I shot these at the Calgary Marathon in 2016. I downloaded the marathon course map and looked for a good spot to take my photos. I figured that the starting line and finishing line would be very busy and probably best to be avoided. So I picked a spot approximately half way around the course […]
