Sad News for the Holga

Sad news this week: the Holga has been discontinued. They won’t be making this iconic camera anymore. Some are happy to see its demise, but they are missing the point. The Holga is beloved because of its light leaks and vignetting. It’s not a DSLR. It’s a plastic toy camera. You can do things with a Holga that would take ages in Photoshop to reproduce. And at the end of the day, who wants to sit inside at a computer when you could be outside developing your photography skills? Not me.

These shots of buildings in downtown Calgary were taken from Central Memorial Park.
